The story of Paramatti began in 1847 in Italy with a pharmacist, Giuseppe Ratti, who started a paint and varnish business in his workshop in Turin. In 1870, he was joined by Annibale Paramatti, founding "Ratti e Paramatti," which later became known as the "Fabbrica Nazionale di Vernici, Colori e Pennelli Paramatti."
Over the years, Paramatti's factories were moved to Settimo Torinese and then to Vercelli, distinguished by their modernization and technology. The one in Settimo was recently designated a historic monument of industrial architecture.
The success of Paramatti's products was such that in the 1970s and 1980s, it was the only paint company listed on the stock exchange, holding a significant real estate portfolio. However, in the following years, the company became the subject of financial dealings that had no relation to its industrial activities.
After several changes in ownership, the brand and commercial organization were acquired by the J Colors Group, and in a short period of time, the brand returned to the glory of previous decades, continuing a centuries-old tradition of quality and organization.
